Brookwood has something for everyone!

Baptist Men’s Group

Brookwood’s Baptist Men’s Group is focused on providing fellowship for the men of our church, serving our congregation and our community, and growing closer to Christ through devotions and Bible Study.

For more information, email missions@brookwood.cc to contact our Group Leader, Mike Hensley.

Caring Hearts

Caring Hearts is one of the ways that our church cares for its members and the community. We write encouraging cards and letters to our church members and friends who are ill, grieving, or are going through a rough time. We also give cards to those who are having birthdays or important milestones. Our group meets on Monday nights at 6:45 p.m. We would love it if you joined us.

Church Library

Our library provides Christian books, CDs, and DVDs for the purpose of building the believer’s faith and knowledge of God. We encourage all Christians to read books which help them understand God’s Word, stretching their minds in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Interested in knowing more about God’s word? We have plenty of research materials available for you. Interested in studying theology, Christology, or escatology? Come in and have our librarian suggest some reading material by some reknowned Christian scholars. Want to spend some quality time with God? Check out one of our devotional books.

Our church library is located upstairs in room 220. It is open on Sunday morning from 9:00-9:30 a.m.

Divorce Hope

Hi, this is Genia! – I want to help others find help and healing from the sadness of a divorce. I had to learn to turn completely to God and His word to heal me from a divorce. God helped me, now he wants me to help others. God has the power to heal broken hearts and give us new dreams. Together we can build a support group to help each other along this difficult journey.
A divorce ultimately made me who I am today. Now I want to be able to help people who might not know where to turn and let them know that there is a road to recovery. I look forward to meeting you!
Please call to register (910-455-7607), we want to make sure we have enough supplies on hand! Childcare available must call ahead to request.

Senior Adults

Our senior adult fellowship has ministered to seniors in our community since 1993. Our purpose is to provide senior adults in the Jacksonville area with the tools they need for spiritual growth and renewal and to give them opportunities for fellowship and service.

On the first Thursday of each month, we provide a program of ministry which includes fellowship, inspiration and information designed to meet the needs of seniors. We begin with dinner in the fellowship hall at 6:00 p.m. Programs vary from month to month with specially invited speakers on topics of interest to seniors as well as devotional time. Our attendance at the monthly dinner often draws in excess of 100. Any senior adult is welcome to attend. Contact the church office for additional information.
Our senior adults also enjoy spending time with each other at all of our events. Trips and other fun activities specifically for seniors are regularly planned.
Check our Calendar page for more information.

Vacation Bible School

Mark your calendars for July 16-20, 2018!

Grab your megaphones, lace up your cleats, and tune up your horn. It’s time to gear up for the big game! It’s go time! Whether you’re the type to root from the stands, march in the band, cheer on the field, or hustle to the line, the time is now—it’s Game On!
Kids are under so much pressure—to perform well, to be the best, to balance schedules that are full to the brim, to excel in every arena. From that vantage point, life’s big game can seem like no fun. But when we step back, we realize that the goal is not competing in our own strength. God has already given us everything we need! He’s given us His complete Word as the ultimate playbook. He’s given us Himself, which gives us a reason to celebrate. He wants us to join His team, to train hard, to celebrate our salvation, to encourage one another, and spur each other on. So what are you waiting for? This is Spirit Week 2018. It’s Game On!

Theme Verse:
His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 2 Peter 1:3 (CSB)

Motto:
Gear Up! Get Ready! Game On!

Christ Connection:
In Jesus, we have everything we need to live a life that honors God. When we trust in Jesus as Savior and Lord, He rescues us from sin and death and gives us power to live joyfully for Him.

Young Adults

Our young adults ministry exists to surround college age and young adults with biblical teaching and God-honoring fellowship. We reach out, train, and empower today’s young generation for Jesus Christ and to prepare them for life. Join us for Sunday school in the Crossroads Class, room 221, at 9:30am on Sunday mornings.
